Hoteles Camino Real, the second largest and Hotel Company in Mexico with more than 25 Hotels, decided to look for new areas of opportunity that will bring them additional revenues.
The challenge was to increase ADR and RevPAR, without necessarily increasing Room Rates, in order to remain competitive and keep its Market Share.
The Solution
In 2010, Incrementa presented its Check In Up, Front Desk Up Sell Programs as a solution, and a pilot program was implemented at the largest landmark Hotel, the 712 rooms, famous Camino Real Polanco.
Incrementa trained all Front Desk staff and helped the hotel to create a new Up Sell strategy and philosophy that allowed for immediate results.
Due to its success at the Mexico City Polanco hotel, the program was immediately rolled out to other 3 Mexico City properties as well as Monterrey, Guadalajara, Tijuana and Veracruz.
The Results
Results were shown immediately, and by the end of 2010, their Up Sell revenues had grown in more than 3000% impacting ADR and RevPAR.
A mayor surprise was the positive Up Sell results achieved at the Mexico City Airport property, where Up Sell numbers increase in more than 500%.
